A win and a loss for Team Nova Scotia on day two of the 2017 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship.
Paul Flemming and his Mayflower Curling Club rink fell 8-5 to Ontario in this afternoon’s draw at Mariners Centre.
They followed that up with a 5-2 victory over the Yukon tonight.

Flemming says they were chasing Ontario a little too much, but rebounded nicely in their second game.
“Once again my team played well, and I felt like I had a better performance too. We controlled the scoreboard very well tonight. Overall a good performance, we finally got a win. We’ll get a good nights sleep and try to chalk up two more tomorrow.”
Nova Scotia takes on PEI tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 and 2-0 Newfoundland and Labrador at 7pm.
Flemming says it’s great to see home province support in the stands.
“For a Monday night, they did alright. Hopefully as the week goes on, we’ll draw a lot of people. The curling is great, the venue is superb, so hopefully people will come out and watch. It’s going to be a fun week for everyone.”
PEI fell to 0-2 with a 5-2 loss to Alberta this evening.
In other Draw 3 games Quebec beat Manitoba 5-2, Saskatchewan went to 2-0 with a 7-3 win over Nunavut and B.C. beat Northwest Territories 7-3.
This afternoon, New Brunswick beat PEI 6-3, Northern Ontario improved to 2-0 with a 5-2 win over Nunavut, Newfoundland and Labrador beat Alberta 4-2 and Manitoba dominated Northwest Territories 10-3.
