In its statement, the national weather service says a low pressure system is forecast to move up the Eastern Seaboard of the United States and
approach the Bay of Fundy on Wednesday seeing one of the largest tides of the year.
The highest tide is expected near noon in the Bay of Fundy and the Tri-County area and early in the afternoon in the Minas Basin.
Environment Canada says storm surge and waves from the system will give higher than normal water levels for most of the Bay of Fundy near high tide on Wednesday, but little or no flooding will occur.
It warns though, if the storm intensifies, watches or warnings may be required.
There is also a possibility of heavy rain from this storm starting sometime on Wednesday or Thursday.
