The holiday season is almost here.
The Salvation Army is looking for assistance with their Adopt A Family anonymous program.
It enables individuals, families or businesses to be paired with a family in need for Christmas.
Captain Mike Mailman with the Salvation Army Yarmouth branch says those providing assistance would do the shopping.
“We give you ages and likes for the children and about $100 for each child. It’s just a framework to get you going.”
They are still accepting applications for their Christmas Hamper program as well.
That program gives a full Christmas dinner and gifts for any child 16 years of age and younger.
Mailman says they always accept monetary donations as well.
“We would like donations to be back in on or before December 14th, because we are giving them out on the 21st, which is a little later this year.”
