It seems the province may be trying to appease teachers, who are in a labour dispute with the government.
Saying she is listening to teachers who are raising legitimate concerns about classroom issues, education minister
Karen Casey announced today that all provincial student assessments are being suspended until further notice.
In a news release Casey says the issues will be referred to the Partnership on Systemic Working Conditions to determine which
assessments should continue.
She says teachers will be expected to continue classroom assessments to monitor student progress.
