The MLA for Argyle-Barrington says the government is again creating more uncertainty for seniors
Chris d’Entremont says the Liberals promised to hold consultations on the Seniors Pharmacare Program.
d’Entremont, the Progressive Conservative Health critic, says Health Minister Leo Glavine promised those discussions would
be held last month.
“I think it provides a little bit of uncertainty going into 2017. The minister said they don’t plan on raising Pharmacare premiums. Yet they haven’t had the consultation.”
“In don’t think anyone can trust completely that kind of language.”
He says seniors are growing increasingly worried that the government is going to try to pull the wool over their eyes again.
d’Entremont says earlier this year, the Liberals lied to seniors and put them into a state of panic when they tried to sneak
through increased premiums.
The government was forced to stop the changes.
