Eddie Nickerson is still the Warden of the Municipality of the District of Barrington.
Nickerson was voted in unanimously by his fellow Councillors at the swearing-in ceremony over the weekend.
It will be Nickerson’s second term as Warden.
He says it’s great to have council’s support.
“It’s great to see unanimous support for a position such as Warden or Deputy Warden. I think it shows great unity within council, and people wanting to move the municipality forward.”
Nickerson says the new council is an optimistic group.
‘With the hiring of our new CAO and the Director of Finance and some re-structuring, I think we’re ready to move forward and see some great things in the next four years.”
Jody Crook takes over as Deputy Warden.
Crook was also voted in unanimously.
He takes over from Donna LeBlanc-Messenger, who did not re-offer.
