Fire damaged a home in Yarmouth County today.
Firefighters responded to a residence on Highway 340 in Carleton, about half a kilometre out of the village going towards Weymouth.
The call came in just before noon. The Carleton, Kempt and Pleasant Valley fire departments all responded and were able to extinguish the blaze.
No one was hurt and no animals were harmed.
Carleton Deputy Fire Chief Arthur Clements says the structure is still standing, with smoke and water damage throughout.
He says an inspector will determine the cause of the fire.
