The Pengrowth-Nova Scotia Energy Scholarship offers 8-$10,000 renewable scholarships to university students, and 8-$2500 non-renewable scholarships to Nova Scotia Community College students.
To qualify, students must be taking post-secondary programs in the energy sector.
Two students were awarded scholarships to the NSCC.
Dylan Foote of Lockeport Regional High School was awarded a survey technician scholarship.
Connor Colquhoun of Drumlin Heights School in Argyle won an electrical construction and industrial certificate scholarship.
Cole Jacquard of the Yarmouth Memorial High School received a scholarship for the bachelor of arts program at Mount Allison University.
All together, 16 post-secondary students and one graduate student from Nova Scotia were awarded scholarships and grants.
