The Town of Shelburne is in the middle of a discussion about permitting off-highway vehicles on its trail system.
Currently ATV’s have restricted access but council is considering changes to its policy.
Mayor Karen Mattatall says the community is spilt on whether to allow off highway vehicles.
“There is a move to create a trail that’s linked the whole way through the province for multi-use vehicles. The discussion has started and it is very preliminary. We are at the point of gathering information to hear what people think.”
Mattatall says once the public consultation process is complete the council will look at all the information and make a decision on how to proceed.
She says there may be other options that could make everyone happy.
