Two fire departments in Yarmouth County received provincial funding today.
Over $15,000 will go to the Yarmouth Fire Department and $7,300 to the Kemptville District Volunteer Fire Department.

The money will be used to purchase personal protection equipment, breathing apparatus, hoses, radios, pagers and rescue tools.
This is part of a nearly million dollar investment under the provincial Emergency Services Provider Fund.
The funding was announced by Premier Stephen McNeil and Yarmouth MLA/Municipal Affairs Minister Zach Churchill.
Churchill says volunteer departments work hard to fund-raise for operations and equipment, and the government is pleased to assist the departments with cost sharing funding that enhances firefighter safety.
