The season opening win streak of the Yarmouth Junior A Mariners has reached 12 games.
Jordan Messenger scored the game winning goal late in the third period, and the Mariners came back to beat Woodstock 4-3 tonight at Mariners Centre.
Messenger also recorded an assist. Mateo Short and Matt Barron each had a goal and an assist, and Connor Peveril scored the other goal.
Jarred Toole led the Slammers with a hat-trick. Woodstock led 2-1 after 2.
Brendan Cregan got his fourth win of the season in goal for Yarmouth, making 24 saves.
Yarmouth will be on the road next weekend against Campbellton and Miramichi.
