The Town of Yarmouth says nearly 22 per cent of voters have already cast their ballot for this Saturday’s municipal election.
1030 people have cast their ballot via e-voting after four days of advanced polling.
The average elector has selected just over 5 council candidates, a number that continues to edge upward.
19 per cent of voters in school board district 7 in the town have cast their ballot, that’s lower than the rest of town in spite of the school board seat being contested in that district.
Over 85 per cent of voters are using the internet, nearly 15 per cent by telephone
The town released the stats on its Facebook page, and reminded voters to cast their ballot early, as it may be more difficult to reach assistance if call volumes are high on election day.
In Argyle, a lower percentage of voters have taken part.
The latest e-voting update has 867 electors, or 17 per cent of eligible voters casting a ballot.
Nearly 82 per cent of those voters have done so online.
Those who prefer to wait until election day Saturday still have the option of casting a traditional paper ballot at polling locations throughout the municipality.
