With Tuesday night’s incident in Clark’s Harbour involving a 24 year old man wearing a clown mask, the detachment want to remind the public to be aware.
The man in Clark’s Harbour allegedly grabbed at a child’s clothing.
Corporal John Stoddart says there have been a few complaints in the town of Yarmouth so far.
Cpl. Stoddart says it’s ok to dress up, but when you intend to intimidate or scare people, there can be dire consequences.
He urges people not to carry weapons, especially while wearing a disguise, as it could lead to a lengthy jail sentence.
Cpl. Stoddart says he’s hopeful the social media craze of people dressing up as clowns will go away soon.
