RCMP say it’s difficult to understand why incidents involving clowns are popping up in Nova Scotia.
Two teenagers were arrested this week after making clown-related threats near Truro.
There is also an instagram account called ShelburneCountyClowns that features the message “We are here to watch you.”
The account, below, also appears to be recruiting new clowns.
Corporal Jennifer Clarke says police are aware of the incidents and are treating them seriously.
“If people feel threatened or intimidated by what they’re seeing happening they need to reach out to local police.”
Clarke says police certainly appreciate concern that this type of activity may be causing for parents, teachers and students.
