Advance polls are being held next month for the October 15th municipal and school board elections.
It’s up to those who are eligible to make sure their names are on the voters list.
Marie Atkinson, the Returning Officer for the Town of Yarmouth says she and her staff have done everything possible to make sure
people are on the list.
She says enumerators have gone throughout the town.
Atkinson says if there’s no one home then a card is left advising them to contact the Returning Office so a return visit can be scheduled.
If they don’t hear back then a pink form is left.
“Then after that, we’ve even sent out a letter to the resident. We have done our due diligence>”
To check if they’re on the list, people can go to the returning office, which is downstairs at Yarmouth town hall just off
the back entrance.
Advance polls are being held on Thursday October 6, Saturday October 8 and Tuesday October 11.
