A couple of minor baseball clubs from the Tri-Counties won Atlantic championships over the weekend.
The Yarmouth Bantam AA Gateways took first place with a 6-2 win over Cornwall, PEI in the final. That tournament was held in Dieppe, New Brunswick. In PEI,
Teagan Scott got the win with Brandon Carroll getting the save, and Scott was also game MVP.
Yarmouth went 5-0 during the tournament.
The Weymouth Peewee AA Firebirds won their Atlantic tournament 11-1 in five innings over a team from Paradise, Newfoundland.
The Firebirds won after a four-hour rain delay.
