It will be a three-way race for Mayor in the Town of Yarmouth.
Pam Mood is re-offering after being elected for the first time in 2012.
Mood says a lot has been accomplished in four years, and the town needs to stay the course.
‘We’ve dug ourselves out of the hole that we were in. We’re not just on even ground but we’re on the incline and we need to continue to move forward in the same manner.”
Running against Mood, former Mayor Charles Crosby and newcomer Doris Powell.
Crosby says he wants to focus on infrastructure, including paving roads that desperately need it.
“Main Street painting looks very nice. What about the road on Main Street? What about the streets in Yarmouth? The priorities are in the wrong place. We have to start with infrastructure and get it done properly.”
Powell has been vocal on the Lake George dumpsite issue, and in a Facebook post says she’s ‘in it to win it.’
Meanwhile, 18 citizens are running for six council seats in the Town of Yarmouth.
Current Council members Phil Mooney, Madeleine Daues, Sandy Dennis, Danny MacIsaac and Deputy Mayor Jim MacLeod are re-offering.
Joining them are Don Berry, Theresa Dalton, Wade Cleveland, Gil Dares, Edward de Grosbois, Clifford Hood, Michael Innis, Ronna Jamieson, Neil Rogers, Gillian Rowley, John Ryan, Michael Tavares and David Tupper.
The election will be done by e-voting, and will take place on October 15.
