Those wanting to find the ace in West Pubnico will have to wait another week.
This Friday’s Chase the Ace event at the Legion has been canceled.
This is because volunteers need more time to prepare for the next draw.
Organizer Jean-Bernard d’Entremont says the event is growing a lot faster than anticipated.
“The drum is getting to be too small, and we’re having difficulty with that, as well as tickets. All of this takes time and we just needed a little bit more time.”
d’Entremont says they are adding a seventh venue for ticket sales.
The next draw will take place on Friday, September 23.
There are 23 cards left in the deck.
The jackpot is expected to exceed $200,000.
