25 cards remain in the West Pubnico Legion’s Chase the Ace deck.
The lucky ticket winner tonight will have a chance to pick the ace, and win an estimated $144,000 jackpot.
The fundraiser for the legion started in February, but has grown substantially and is quickly becoming the most popular event in Pubnico every week.
Ticket sales topped $68,000 last week.
Another venue has been added as well.
The Pubnico Lions Hall joins the legion, East Pubnico Community Centre, West Pubnico Fire Hall, Argyler Lodge and Red Cap Restaurant as official ticket sellers.
Every week, a number of volunteers put in lengthy hours to prepare for the draw.
Last week, organizer Jean-Bernard d’Entremont said the fundraiser will keep going until the ace is picked, or the event becomes unmanageable.
