Yarmouth’s facade program is expanding.
Already, over 20 businesses have taken advantage of the program that helps land-owners improve the exterior of their buildings.
Many downtown buildings have participated, and now the second phase is ready to roll-out.
Mayor Pam Mood says the town has extra funds to proceed with more work.
“People on Main Street are loving the color, loving the feel of the downtown, but when you go up a side street, you want to have that same feel, because it’s all part of what we’re trying to do,” she says.
“So, we have the funds to do that, and we’re going to start phase two right away.”
Mood says the work will extend from the north to the south-ends of the town, as well on Forest Street to Water Street and Cliff Street up to Willow and Parade streets.
The town will fund up to $5,000 for each project.
