Could Nova Scotians soon be heading to the polls?
A video was posted by the Nova Scotia Liberal Party featuring Premier Stephen McNeil and a narrator that says “On May 30, vote Liberal.”
McNeil also speaks in the video which was available for a short time on YouTube, but is no longer public.
“I know it hasn’t always been easy, but we’re stronger now than we were four years ago. “So, let’s keep building on a province with opportunity for everyone. Let’s keep building on a stronger Nova Scotia, together.”
There has been no confirmation by McNeil that this is the case.
The Elections Nova Scotia website says there is a “minimum of 30 days before an election can happen.”
That would mean McNeil would have to visit the lieutenant governor by Sunday for permission to dissolve the legislature to hold a May 30 election.
