Thursday, July 5th 2012

A local group has been busy planning all of the events and activities associated with the visit.   Jerry Locke, the Director of Community and Economic Development for the town of Shelburne tells CJLS about the tall ships.   Locke says they are in need of volunteers.   They should be 18 years or older and able to commit at 2 hours for at least one shift during the two days.   Training and Orientation will be provided.   There are two ways to register:   1. online at http://my-waterfront.ca/tallships/volunteer   2. phone the Town Of Shelburne, Community Economic Development 1-902-875-3873 or email jlocke@town.shelburne.ns.ca  Locke says they hope to draw visitors from across western Nova Scotia.
