Yarmouth kidnapping case will return to court--again.Wednesday, July 4th 2012 A Yarmouth man who kidnapped and sexually assaulted two women will have to wait another month for the results of a dangerous offender assessment.
Gordon Frank Nickerson, who pleaded guilty in April to several charges, appeared today in Kentville provincial court.
The Crown has applied to have the 35-year-old declared a dangerous offender, which means he could be sent to prison for an indefinite period.
Nickerson was ordered to undergo a 60-day psychiatric assessment on April 30 but the deadline passed last week.
However, provincial court judge Alan Tufts decided today that the East Coast Forensic Hospital still has until July 27 to produce the report.
Nickerson was arrested Feb. 29 after police responded to a report that two women were missing from Wedgeport.
